Excellent public fishing opportunities are available on the Esopus Creek, Pepacton Reservoir, and Beaverkill River. Note that regulations vary significantly depending on the water body and specific section, especially concerning NYC DEP reservoirs like the Pepacton.

This museum exhibits artifacts and photos chronicling Fleischmanns’ history as a Catskills resort town, covering local industry, the railroad, and early baseball. Open summer weekends only.

Just east of Fleischmanns, Belleayre Mountain is a prime location for hiking with trails for all skill levels, including the scenic Rochester Hollow Trail. Other options include the easy Kelly Hollow Trail and the more challenging Catskill High Peaks hikes.

You can paddle on Lake Wawaka, Belleayre Lake, and the Pepacton Reservoir. Local businesses offer rentals and other services for each location.

Originally founded in 1895 by yeast-making brothers Julius and Max Fleischmann, the M.A.C. continues nineteenth-century rules base ball on the same hallowed “athletic grounds” at Fleischmanns Park where base ball legends once played.
